👇What’s The Meaning Behind This Macro

Historically, the Las Arras ceremony is a Hispanic catholic wedding tradition where the groom is first presented 13 coins, from the bride’s family, representing a dowry, the coins are then blessed, put in a box and presented to the bride to symbolize the groom’s promise to provide and care for the wife.

Stephanie and Rahmeaun decided to change the tradition to better represent the equality, loyalty, and mutual respect they uphold as core values in their marriage.

They have each brought their own 13 coins to be combined in a shared chest to represent the joining of their families, resources, and wisdom to welcome abundance into their home and as a symbol of the wealth that comes with building community. Rahmeaun is using a new set of 12 gold and 1 platinum coins and Stephanie is using the same set of arras used by her parents in their wedding 43 years ago, thus combining the old and new spirit of this tradition.
